Jana Draka

The project was born in the autumn of 2014 when Valerio Magli decided to form a rock band by enlisting Luigi Conte on drums, Lorenzo Cecchetti on bass and Danilo Pantusa on guitar.

In late 2015 after working on the arrangements of their first songs, the band started with only a PC and a small sound card to record the first EP.

On 29 December 2015 Jana Draka performed in their first Live which was a great success by the public and, a month later, the pianist and keyboardist Francesco Straface entered the formation and completed the first line-up.

The EP Introspection was released on 7 May 2016 while the video of the single Portrait of Fancy was released in June.

Due to personal differences with the other members of the band, Luigi is removed from the project and the young drummer Riccardo Lirangi enters his place. With this training, the Jana Draka resume working on new unpublished material for the creation of an album, but in the summer of 2017 Riccardo and Lorenzo abandon the project. The band still manages to release a second single A Gem’s Last Moment and continue working on the album.

But when Francesco also drops everything, Valerio and Danilo decide to move to Rome and start all over from scratch.

In September 2018, arrived in the capital, they immediately gathered with them Giorgio Belluscio who had already recorded the keyboards of Introspection and a few months later a second keyboard player, Federico Aramini, joined the band. In May 2019, the training is completed with the entry of the drummer Valentina D’Angelo.

With this new core, more grit (and a few more preamps) Jana Draka produce their first album Where the Journey Begins with their own strength, released in December 2019.
