Riveryman idea with different name started in the year 1997, when I was starting to get interested in Progressive rock music. In that time we started to play Progressive rock with my cousin Teemu Jokinen who is also a great drummer.
First Progressive rock / Metal bands I was interested were: Dream Theater, Rush, Yes, Genesis, Steve Hackett, Neal Morse, John Wetton, Asia, Pendragon, IQ, King Crimson, E.L.P, U.K, Spock’s Beard, Flower Kings and Magellan.
First finnish Progressive rock artist that I listened were: Pekka Pohjola, Wigwam and Kingston Wall. I also listened lot of A.O.R rock bands in that time & also lot of jazz/fusion/rock players.
Riveryman didn’t had name at those days. In the year 2006 I met a great drummer called Pikkis and we started to play together. in the year 2007-2008 we recorded few songs and we put them together in promotion cd. Later in the year 2009 Musea released our debut album “Magic World”.
