Mark returns with his second solo album entitled “Painting the World”. He’s joined again by Knight Area buddies Pieter van Hoorn on drums and Peter Vink on bass to present you an album full of masterful instrumental guitar rock.

Mark Bogert was born 30 years ago, almost literary with a guitar round his neck. And he hasn’t stopped playing guitar since then. After finishing high school he decided to study at the Rotterdam university Codarts. After he graduated with honors both on guitar as well as a composer he played in several bands. He recorded one album with his band Penny’s Twisted Flavour and played guitar on two albums of Lord Vulture.

In 2012 he joined Dutch progressive rock band Knight Area. In Knight Area he teamed up with bass player Peter Vink (ex-Q65, ex-Finch, ex-Nine Stones Close) and drummer Pieter van Hoorn (Nine Stones Close). Last but not least he forms the acoustic duo Un-Plugged together with his fiancée, vocalist Nadine Pruim. Mark also arranges and composes for several musical companies and gave clinics all over Europe. At the moment Mark is teaching guitar at Rotterdam university Codarts.

Since the release of his debut album “A Story in Parts” he toured extensively with Knight Area and recorded two studio albums and a live album/DVD with the band. But now it’s time for new solo work that his gives full freedom to show his masterful skills on the guitar without any limitations.
